Dusty notices her expression as his face goes pale. oO(You're a telepath?)Oo Megana hears his voice in her head.

Then Vi answers with, Kill the mutt or have him help this shithole. Hunting and chores and guard duty?"

Dusty shrugs, "I vote for a week of chores. Don't care how hard they are. Not risking my life for a tank of gas. Even though we need it." He nods and briefly shoots a glance at Megana, then stares at the floor, pretending to enjoy the heat from the fireplace.

Megana’s telepathic reply drifts in with the guilty softness of someone confessing a secret hobby, oO(Don’t tell anyone, but I mostly hear animals. Humans… not so much.)Oo She looks away, cheeks warming, staring into the fire like it might swallow her embarrassment. “True… but that extra supply and money would be worth it…”

Vi, never one to let a moment stay serious, swivels her invisible tendrils toward both Dusty and Megana. A pulse of electricity snaps through the air and pop! “Why not both?” she suggests cheerfully. “If this dogboy can be useful, then…” She shrugs just as the spark pops near Dusty.

Dusty jolts like someone plugged him into a wall socket. He spins around, eyes wide, facing Vi. “Don’t do that again. Not funny.”

Megana’s temper snaps like a dry twig. “Vi! Do that again and you’ll get shot! It is not a good idea to startle someone who’s armed!”

Vi, being Vi, immediately decides this is the perfect moment to escalate. She pushes more energy through her tendrils, sparks crackling. “Now we’re gonna have a talk, Dusty! And one of you is going to tell me what I want to know! Plain and simple!”

A heartbeat later, Dusty and Megana are launched backward like they’ve been fired out of a cannon. They slam into the wooden wall hard enough to make it complain. Dusty twitches, then slowly stands, glaring with the fury of a man who has absolutely had enough.
“You paranoid lunatic! Ask yer damned question!”

Megana, who was upright one second and mysteriously sitting on the floor the next, blinks through the lingering jolt. Whatever Vi did… it sucked. A lot.

OOC: 18 SDC damage to Megana, that's equivalent to being shot by an M-16 A2 assault rifle or being pummeled for 30 seconds by a skilled boxer, 'cept, she isn't going to bleed out.
