Horrified by Teddies injuries, Brad hurries over to him, and will do what he can. Hopefully he can at least stabilize him until Doc Lewis arrives.

In front of the school:
"Did I know what? I'm lost here. I need to help Teddy! he's in trouble!" Vi replies as the sheriff and deputy Stryker haul her into the Justice center.

OOC2: Moving Vi back to her own thread.

The color drains from Dane’s face as his eyes widen at the mindless anger being aimed at him. Ignoring the outburst, he drops to a knee in front of Meg Hoffman, an earlier conversation flashing through his mind—Teddy’s dad calling her a d-bee. “Meg,” he says softly, trying to catch her eyes, “We need to get out of here. We’re not safe. Come on, let’s get to the library.” He reaches for her hands and tries to help her stand so he can guide her away from the crowd. He looks briefly towards Vi wishing he could do something for her. Vi disappears beyond the front doors of the Justice Center, George glances back at his son with an, 'I'm so sorry," expression on his face. Meg nods as she stands up with Dane.

Martin sets Teddy's destroyed body down in front of Brad. He sputters blood from a gaping hole, where his nose should be, with every breath. His upper jaw is split in half while the skin on his forehead is peeled back to his hairline, revealing the front of his cracked skull. Maya covers her mouth and backs away, "I can't..." she cries and turns to follow Dane and Miss Hoffman to the library. Meg's pale face remains a blank, unfocused stare as they proceed to the library.

Horrified by Teddy's injuries, Brad immediately begins assessing the damage but doesn't know where to start.: A fractured viscerocranium, resulting in a destroyed left orbital socket. There are too many jagged lacerations, contusions and hemorrhages to count. His left arm is badly broken, yet still wearing a practice boxing glove. His right knuckles are shoved into his carpal bones from fighting back. Brad feels around, concentrating for any hint of good news, but his ribs and sternum are, at best, dislocated. Teddy begins choking, which Brad quickly solves by plucking several of Teddy's teeth from his throat.

Brad takes a deep breath, ignoring the sobs of his father and gasps of the crowd. The remaining deputies do their best to move everyone back, giving room for him to continue assessing the situation. Teddy's heart rate and pulse seems strong. He's breathing, but unconscious. Brad figures a contributing factor is that Teddy may have been wearing headgear for most of his beating; only exposing his face.

Brad proceeds to cut away Teddy's ridiculous black T-shirt, reading, "Ride a Swenson Machine, Spare a horse!" Which is his father's latest run of t-shirts for their business. Having removed the t-shirt, he sees that most of the damage was centered around his head, face and upper torso. The damage was mostly anterior, meaning he fought till he couldn't anymore. The posterior damage is limited to bruising and a possible broken rib, near the spine. He rolls Teddy to his side, making sure he isn't inhaling blood.

Everyone seems focused on Brad's rapid medical process, not noticing Dr. Lewis and Dr. Greenwood, Brad's father, arrive and tell him to move. All Dr. Lewis asks is, "Is he stable enough to move?" Yes, with a stretcher, he is.

Wyatt rests his hand on his shoulder, "Son, go with Dane. Your mom already has the ER prepped. I don't want you alone tonight. I'll call for you if I need you. Dane never really strays far from the library."

"Wyatt, he'll need reconstruction if he makes it through this." Dr. Lewis mindlessly comments. Coach Driver begins unfolding the collapsible stretcher.

Deputy Kickman tries leading Martin away, "Why don't you go with the kids? We can't have you distracting them when they're concentrating on saving him." Martin looks as though he's about to argue, but just nods, letting his tears flow as he sighs, following Maya, Dane and Meg. He glances up towards the Justice Center, tempted to charge, but notices Kickman shake his head at him.

All the while, everyone ignores Kendal, who sits against a hitching post and sobs into her hands. Lord Stein turns, leans down, whispers something to her and then proceeds past her towards the Justice Center.

Further up the street:
Frank stands dumbfounded, unsure how to respond, "I don't know if she did it or not. I was busy inside with customers. But, it's not something I'd ever think she'd do."

Megana mindlessly nods, "Something isn't right Frank... Something ain't right."

Vi is hauled into the Justice Center. Seconds later, a rather husky guy is hauled in after her, spitting and shouting about cleansing the world of evil.

It looks as though Brad's doing his best to save Teddy as Ted's dad annoyingly hovers, palms pressed together; like he's praying. Doctors Lewis and Greenwood run from up the street and force Brad to move, preparing to move Teddy. Martin is seemingly told to join Dane, Maya and Meg Hoffman, who're walking towards the library. Most of the remaining crowd just watches; only a few walking away either to find transportation home or find friends and loved ones to regroup and leave.

Johnny notices how destroyed Kendal looks, "I should go talk to her."

"Dude no!" Steve says, "Bad timing, bro. She obviously had feelings for the guy." Everyone knew that she did, even Johnny, who hated it. Johnny hesitates, then stays, glancing at Frank, wondering what they should do next.

Steve tries covering Emily's eyes, "Trust me, not something you should be seeing." She just sidesteps and keeps watching, mouth agape.

Sam taps Megana on the shoulder, "You okay?"

"We should join Dane and Maya. Pretty sure they're heading to the library," Johnny suggests.

Withva deep sigh Megana nods at Johnny's words "Ill be okay Sam...not the worse i have seen....lets go meet up with Dane and the others..." she spoke caomly trying to keep calm.

Frank starts to walk up to Kendal and sits next to her. She scoots away; either due to the trauma or possible dislike for Frank.

In a calm, soft tone, he asks, "Just what happened? I want to hear it from you not the mob around us."

Megana deeply sighs, nodding at Johnny, "Ill be okay, Sam. It's not the worst I've seen. Let's go meet up with Dane and the others," to keep calm. She begins heading towards the library, Sam right beside her, when Johnny notices Frank heading towards Kendal.

"Not a good idea, dude," Steve reinforces his prior warning as he follows Sam and Megana, Emily right with them.

Frank notices that Esther and Ethan Trent, Vi's parents, rush into the Justice Center, shouting demands to see Vi. The heavy doors slam shut, muffling their voices. Johnny promptly plops down next to Frank, eager to listen to Kendal. She looks in shock; her unfocused eyes stare at nothing on the ground, "It doesn't matter anymore..." she mindlessly replies, "He's probably dead and my best friend, whom I betrayed, is going to be executed or sent away."

The doors to the Justice Center fly back open as Esther and Ethan are pushed back outside by the sheriff, saying, "Behind the jail, not in front, you numbskulls!"

"How rude!" Esther flexes biceps, which are bigger than Frank's calves. She begins waddling down the steps as the crowd slowly begins dispersing, allowing Brad and the doctors to move Teddy onto their stretcher. Kendal intently watches, catching glimpses of his nearly non-existent face.

Vi's parents begin circling around the Justice Center, heading towards the back of the building. Frank hears Ethan say, "You brought her stuff, right?"

"Of course! What are we going to do? We raised her for over a decade!" Esther begins sobbing as Ethan tries calming her. It's too difficult to make out what they're saying, over the noise of the crowd, as they get further away.

"Kendal, Frank and I are here for you," Johnny tries his best to console her. Nobody else seems to care about Kendal's admission to some unknown guilt. She's been known to lie for attention before, but this seems different.

"No, Johnny! I don't want your help. I don't like you like that. So you and your pimple-faced friend can go AWAY!" Her rage filled eyes pierce into Johnny's, as though she's about to attack him. Johnny promptly looks at the ground, avoiding her gaze. His hands begin shaking. Frank isn't sure if he's upset or scared.

"For someone who's usually trying to the center of attention....I can tell this isn't ond of those times." Frank begins but pauses to collect his words. "You know something and no one else seems to care. You're broken and defeated not seeking attention. If you say it doesn't matter then there should be no problem telling us. We can decide for ourselves if its important or not."

"Are you for real?" She stands up, "Leave me alone," she covers her face and begins to run off when she trips and falls face into the gravel. Johnny immediately leaps into action; running over to hear as she props herself up into a sitting position with jagged bits of gravel poking from her bleeding palms.

Johnny looks up at Frank while she hugs him hard, each of her childlike sobs shaking the both of them. He mouths, "I got this. Find the others," quietly.

"Yea, yea I'll go see what's going to happen next with Vi. Since I'm not getting answers here." Frank gets up and start to look around really quick before heading to the library. "Now why would Meg not be safe just because DBs are brought up?" He says under his breath while leaving Johnny to deal with Kendal.
